Project: Crested Butte Mountain Resort Master Planning
Location: Crested Butte, Colorado

Crested Butte is located in southwest Colorado, within the Gunnison National Forest and the Elk Mountain Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The existing resort is comprised of 16 lifts and 1,100 acres of skiable terrain.
International Alpine Design was retained as the resorts master planner in 2003 when Triple Peaks LLC purchased the resort. IAD completed strategic improvement plans for the existing mountain, visioned real estate for village areas and multiple ski in-ski out neighborhoods, and master planned the 216 acre, 4 lift expansion onto neighboring Snodgrass Mountain. Many of IAD’s detail plans have been implemented while some are currently in entitlements.
